Between May 27 and 31, 2026, Felippe Moraes took part in ArPa Feira de Arte (ArPa Art Fair), held at Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu, in São Paulo. The artist was part of the booth shared by Verve Galeria (São Paulo) and Galeria Athena (Rio de Janeiro), which also brought together works by Antonio Dias (1944–2018) and Gustavo Prado.
Representing Antonio Dias, the work Arid (1969) was on view, a piece from the artist’s period of international consolidation and an example of his investigation into language, image, and systems of representation.
Felippe Moraes presented four neon works spanning different moments of his production: A Distância do Horizonte (2011–2026), which revisits a formula created in 2011 and presents it in neon for the first time; ANUNCIAR O DIA / AMENIZAR A NOITE (2026); Órion (Orion), from the Solaris Discotecum series (2026); and Uma pausa de mil compassos, from the SAMBA EXALTAÇÃO series (2021).
In the fair’s final two days, the group was expanded with previously unseen drawings from the Evento Celestial (2026) series and the sculpture OROBORO (2023).
The participation reaffirms a line of research Moraes has developed over the past fifteen years, marked by his interest in the relationships between light, language, astronomy, philosophy, and spirituality. His production moves between installations, sculptures, urban interventions, photography, drawing, and neon, weaving together scientific, cosmological, and poetic references in investigations of perception, knowledge, and the experience of the sublime.
On Saturday, May 30, the artist took part in ArPa’s official program alongside Gustavo Prado in the talk O Espaço-tempo e a Poesia da Luz (“Space-Time and the Poetry of Light”), moderated by Ana Carolina Ralston. Taking the works of Antonio Dias and the two artists’ research as a starting point, the conversation addressed themes related to light, space, perception, and the intersections between art, phenomenology, and scientific thought.
