The solo exhibition Cosmografia (2017), by Felippe Moraes, presented at Baró Galeria, brings together a body of work that investigates different ways of mapping the cosmos, moving between science, spirituality, and symbolic language. Curated by Julia Lima, the show weaves together photography, video, and drawing in an expanded field where the visible and the invisible intertwine.

Among the works on view, the video The Drag That Said Phi (2017) stands out, featuring Alaska Thunderfuck, in which the performer recites the numerical sequence of the golden ratio, putting pressure on classical notions of beauty and revealing the gap between mathematical language and the body. Alongside it, the series Movimento Pendular presents luminous records that make orbital trajectories visible, while Keyhan (2017) documents geometric patterns in Iranian mosques, evoking the cosmos through architecture.

The exhibition expands further with the video Harmonices Mundi (2017), inspired by the theories of Johannes Kepler, in which relationships between sound and planetary motion are translated into musical composition. By bringing these works together, Cosmografia proposes a sensitive cartography of the universe, in which numbers, images, and experiences become tools for understanding the complexity of the real.
